  1. Profile Summary:

The incumbent will be leading a team of researchers providing complex B2B business research services to clients belonging to multiple sectors and work closely with them on pre-sales and project execution. The main objective is to achieve business growth by delivering quality, mentoring team members and maintaining strong working relationship with the sales/BD team.

  1. Profile requirement:
    1. Proven track record in leading and executing B2B business research/enterprise market research, assignments of varied sizes, values and duration across multiple domains
    2. Strong understanding of secondary and primary research methodologies
    3. Experience in one of more of the following sectors: Automotive, Industrials, Energy & Power, Chemicals, ICT
    4. Experience in market forecasting using various market modeling techniques
    5. At least 3 years’ experience in project and client management, project presentation and proposal writing
    6. Excellent spoken and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
    7. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including financial analysis skills
    8. Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders at the account side
    9. Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision, and produce timely deliverables in a fast-paced environment
    10. Self-motivated, with strong work ethic and initiative; proactive in identifying issues and opportunities and delivering insightful solutions
    11. Good project and time management skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    12. Excellent team player with the ability to be hands on in project execution and team management skills
    13. Highly responsive to customer requests; able to prioritize conflicting needs
    14. Confidence to provide and defend a point of view; high level of attention to detail
    15. Good exposure to information sources relevant to the assigned sector
    16. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
    17. Passionate about research and analysis, and its practical application in the corporate environment

  1. Essential functions:

Key Deliverables:

    1. Ensure quality and timeline of project deliverables
    2. Active participation in pre-sales process including but not limited to scoping and proposal development
    3. Train and mentor the team members

Project Management and Delivery:

    1. Works closely with the Senior Manager to develops project plans and manages projects, including objectives, timelines, milestones, priorities, team member responsibilities and work products
    2. Monitors progress and regularly updates stakeholders on potential overruns and changes; re-negotiates timelines and scopes changes
    3. Develops project work products collaboratively with team members that focus on measurable business impact
    4. Be ready to be involved in hands-on project execution
    5. Ensures quality of deliverables and delivery timelines are adhered to Pre-sales and Business Development Support
    6. Plays an important role in managing relationships with key clients of the team
    7. Work closely with the Senior Manager in pitching and closing deals in new acquisitions and growth/emerging markets
    8. Understanding scope of projects and drives effective solutioning
    9. Writing proposals, whitepapers, creating samples, case studies, etc.

Team Management:

    1. Responsible for the performance of the assigned team
    2. Motivate the team members to excel in the respective functions thereby creating a performance driven culture
    3. Work towards bringing in increased operational efficiency and improve customer satisfaction levels
    4. Regularly have performance and project reviews with teams, informing the progress to the management
    5. Training and mentoring the team members to help them contribute towards achieving the firm’s objectives

Communication / Expression:

    1. Demonstrates strong analytical abilities. Articulates points of view clearly and coherently
    2. Presents information visually in a compelling manner, supplementing text and narrative, tailored to the audience
    3. Demonstrates sophisticated written and spoken presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with account leadership
    4. Demonstrates the ability to coach and advise colleagues on structured thinking and expression

Relationship management:

    1. Works to become a trusted virtual team member of the assigned account team
    2. Conducts presentations, training, and workshops for internal and external clients on key business issues/developments at the sector and account levels
